I’d like to wish you a very Merry Christmas, I hope it was all you hoped it would be. Our traditional family get together happened on Christmas Eve this year rather than after New Years as it has in years past. I like celebrating with our family on Christmas Eve, it seems a little more ‘Christmasy’.
The grandkids had a great time with all their new presents-my granddaughter went through 4 clothing changes trying on all her new clothes/costumes. My grandson and his daddy had a lot of fun playing with his new cars! The kids got my husband and I a subscription to a winter CSA (Community Supported Agriculture). I’ve been playing around with the idea of joining a CSA, but haven’t pulled the trigger yet; this will be a great way to test it out. It was a very thoughtful and appropriate gift for someone who follows a plant based diet.
Christmas Day was a quiet day spent relaxing and cleaning up from the Christmas Eve festivities. Since we had Italian for dinner, I could not make my traditional veggie lasagna for dinner, so I went for an old favorite of mine and my husband’s-Paella. I made some plant based chorizo sausage and have the usual garlicky tomato bruschetta (strong enough to keep ALL vampires away for life!!!). Appetizers included bread, hummus, sausage and olives; sangria is a must with this yummy meal.
Now it’s time to enjoy a quiet evening listening to Christmas music in front of the fireplace. I hope you have a peaceful holiday. Thank you for following my blog!
